View Full Version : [IPB Ttutorial] Installing a new Skin.

You will need:
A legal IPB Forum [www.invisionpower.com]
An IPB Skin [www.ipsbeyond.com]

Step 1: Log into your Admin CP and Click on Look & Feel:

Step 2: Click on Skin Import/Export

Step 3: Go down to Importing... and click Browse next to the Upload Template XML Set and choose the .xml or .xml.gz file in the folder where you saved the template. Then click Import Skin XML.

Now for the images.

Do everything you just did then but this time goto Import Skin Images. Now click browse next to the Upload XMLArchive Image Set text area and choose the image archive, again .xml or .xml.gz.:

Now Click Import Skin Images.

Thats it for the uploading. But don't quit your Admin CP just yet.

This time click on Skin Manager on the Left hand side:

Ok now find the name of the skin you just imported and click the button outlined with a black circle in the image below:

And now click on Edit Settings:

Now scroll down to Image Options:

And choose the Skins Image Set. Now click on the Edit Skin Settings Button. Now your skin should fully work.

To make it Default go back to Skin Manager find your skin and then click on the button to the right hand side of the 'Eye' Button.

Thats It!! Goto your forums homepage to see it!

This is old and I shouldn't really bump But i put work into this :( and noone took notice off it!!!

This should also bee the Same for 2.2. Just the ACP Images will look different...
