View Full Version : Waiting Times
I think you Should Be Able To See How Long The Que Is
Like When It Says
"52 Habbo Club Members in Front"
"78" Habbos in Front"
It Should Give You A Time Like
"Estimated Time Till Entery 12 Minutes"
Althought This Maybe Hard Due To Lag Anyways Any Views?

An 'estimated time' system works only for automated systems that provide a synchronous service. Since people are aloud to stay in public rooms for as much time as they want, it's impossible to determine how long they'll be there before they decide to leave and other people may come in.

A good point sexydeath, but it does get kind of annoying when you want to get into a room, and you think 'I wonder how long I'll have to wait?'. An ESTIMATE would be nice, like if Sulake did some research into how long each Habbo randomly spends in each Public Room, and then gives that average. It's also said that things like 'Estimated Waiting Times' make people in real life take their mind off the queue, and how long they'll be waiting.

Estimating time is useless as well. For one, research would have to be conducted to even begin having a notion of the time people spend in public spaces. I'm very much doubting Sulake will agree to spend money on research for the sole purpose of have an 'ETA' displayed on the rooms. And even if the ETA could serve as a distraction from the wait time, you will then create a whole new issue where people start complaining how the ETA displayed is not accurate and wait times are actually longer than it says. With that said, this solution could actually be more trouble than its worth.
