It's good you wanna take it slow - so do just that.

Tell him your not looking for a 'wham-bam-thankyou-mam!" and that you'd rather take thing's slowly and get to know each other before the physical stuff.

ye, i would suggest you just continue as you are, hanging out with him but being weary about how things develop. If things start going too fast just say can we please slow it down a bit. If he is a nice guy and worth your time he will stop and continue being with you.
