Has been asked many times, and as you said I'd put it into a high-interest account and live off the interest. I would of course spend some of it because I'm human, but I don't buy it when people say "give it to charity" because no-one but Ghandi would do that, and look where kindness got him - he'd dead.

Well with my bank i get 7% interest a month, so for me that would be a well invited £70,000 a month :) so i guess i would invest it in my bank.
