Here is a tutorial on slicing a layout in Macromedia Fireworks, I will be using Macromedia Foreworks MX but it is basically the same for older versions.

1. Open Fireworks and select File>Open and open the layout you wish to slice.

2. Select the Slice Tool http://www.avengex.com/~propercl/slice/slice1.png and drag and drop it where you want the slices to be, this will make seperate images for each area you make green (slice) and when exported will also create a HTM file with them all in a table in the correct order. This makes it easy to put content into certain areas of the site, change banners easy and basically make the site much more flexable and professional looking.

3. Select File>Export and export HTML and Images somewhere.

When done you should be left with the seperate images where you exported to along with a HTM file with the table with the images in, which you can play around with to use on your site!

I hope this has helped you.

Right, when you slice it, at the bottom, it will say image with a little arrow menu next to it, change the image to text :D

How do you make it so that it's and iframe, and doesn't reload the page each time you click a link?

good tut. But do the coding your self! slicingguide.com or something like that. Dont be lazy and let the Porgram do the code work because it often is better in the long run when you have done it yourself

Well, As said you could, when you save click save as html and images or just images ;)

and send bits to tease people ;)

But otherwise good if the screenies were there.
