Adverts have changed over the years, the current ''popular'' theme is a shock tactic. some of that latest are cooking oil adverts from the british heart foundation, what are your opinions on these adverts and do you think they have gone too far?
personally i think the adverts are spot on, they show people the facts and it is not coated in sugar so it miss leads people.
here is the advert i'm talking about.
What is your opinion to adverts like the following?
are they too much in your face?

i think it's over the top, eating a packet of crisps is no where near the equivalent of downing cooking oil.
Ye, i cringed when i first saw it. Spot on and hits hard.
it made me hungry so i got some hula hoops xD

Hits spot on, It just shows how much damage your causing yourself.
all adverts have a point, to advertise..
Yup
as for the cooking oil advert, thats the same for alot of things you eat...
TBH, we listen to all health doctors and dieticians (sp) we wouldn't be allowed to eat anything
all adverts are propaganda from organisations with their own biass ofcourse and i think their pointless some ads make me want to buy it less or think about the cause less.

MMmmmmmmmm cooking oil.
Anyway, I hate ads, but Im not one of those people who are like "WHY DO DERE HVE TO BE COMMERCIALZ WHY CNT I JUST WATCH TV LOLZ?". I know commercials have a point. However, I do get your point with some advertizements being stupid and pointless, and just there to try to shock you.
Like those "Truth" anti-smoking commercials. In a recent study, they found that teens being exposed to those commercials actually RAISES the likelyhood that they will try drugs. Irony much?
