To expand on his CC, The image is to wide. Nothing happens in the right half of the picture so is there much point in having it there ?

What I mean is, the composition of this image is un-equal. You need something on the right to balance out your image, or you could position him in the centre to give a central focus.
might want to add more to the background like miscelanious objects or another person or the character doing something.

What I mean is, the composition of this image is un-equal. You need something on the right to balance out your image, or you could position him in the centre to give a central focus.
Or you could leave him on the left to provide a feel of one small person with a large area ahead of him, inspiring a new adventure or journey.
If that armour is meant to be rune it needs to be a different color. Unless its not rune and its something else.
Add some actual detail and shades to the cape, give shadows from the cape and the armour, give the horns on the helmet more detail and shading.

Hmmm, if its ur first attempt its pretty good for paint. But it looks a little plain. Maybe try add in shrubery or grass, depends on the location of your character.
Or maybe add in a monster in the distance to the right.
not too bad, tis nice and simple :P adding somethin else might be good tho!
