Hey we should make somthing like youtube and then sell it for 1.4 billino dollars youtube sold theres or somthing.

Anyway anyone wanna make one with me. we can call it like mytv or somthing? I can supply hosting but thats pretty much it? Anyone?

No, we really shouldn't.

The reason no one sued youtube for copyright was because no one could afford too .. whereas it'd be easy to sue "us".

Yeah, and I doubt we could get the site popular enough.. who would want to upload there video on our website when they can do it on a website such as YouTube?

I'm guessing you never read how much the Youtube servers cost them to host that many files. With the amount of visitors they got the cost would crush your entire family unless you are extremely rich.

A £10 reseller will not create you a site with enough bandwith to host lots of video files and have people watch them.

the reason youtube was so popular was because it was a brand new idea
you cant just copy an idea and expect to make millions :rolleyes:

I suggest you stop being a noob and he is not youtube he is not as popular as youtube so he doesn't have to pay 800,000 he is only going to get about 3 people using it so he can use cPanel.

Google videoes massivily superior and was in google labs before youtube was even registered as a domain name...
Space wize google video even hosts quite alot more footage, helped by hosting full lengh movies as opposed to the 10 minute clip limit on youtube, youtube was purchased mainly as an advertsing venture, probably so they didnt do the same thing as they did with myspace, pay more to advertise on it for a year than it would have cost to buy the site that is.

It's pointless - YouTube and Google Video have that market and there is no point. If it actually gets successful it costs so much in bandwidth.

I have a script i could sell to you. I bought it for £30 from someone but i will sell you it for £10. Its just like You tube but different. Same features etc with member ship etc

E.g.

If you want to make your own My Space you would buy PHPFOX

Right, I bet the 2 men in their 20's that set youtube up wernt millionairs.

But i suppose you could do it, And then once you get people knowing about it. They will tell other people ect and some users could pay for extra stuff. And then once you got the money you can spend it on making it bigger and being able to handle more bandwidth. So..

Everything has to start from nothing and build up, google was made by some guys on dial up in a 6X2 closet.And microsoft was made by 2 guys coding in a garage in alberquercy or how ever you spell that.

Like Youtube started as a tiny site and it grew and grew.

yeah but there was a market for thoose things

youtube's only main compeititor was google video which was in the labs... not much compeition

microsoft was a whole new GUI

this is not an orignal idea and there is vast compeition!!

its not going to work as i said in my first post give up and dream about something else
