Right this was intoduced at my school at the beggining of this year after loads of staff meetings and student meetings last year.

Our Planners have been totally re-designed and in a subject we get "stamps" with the school logo and the subject on. If we get 3 stamps in the same subject then it is a credit. They are good and it is really easy to get them, for different numbers of credits you get different rewards.

If you are talking or messing in a class you will get a "Verbal Warning", the teacher will write this down just as a note, and it will be cleared after the lesson. After the verbal you get a written comment for behaviour. If you get 3 behaviour comments in the same subject then that is 1 50 minute detention. If you forget your homework or book, then that is equipment, if you get 2 equipment comments in a half term then that is 1 50 minute detention.

If you get 3 detentions in a half term then that is isolation, 3 isolations in a half term and it's to the headteacher.

Also if you are chewing or have bad uniform it is an around school comment, 3 of those an it's 1 50 min detention.

All written comments, detentions and isolations are cancelled at half-terms, and if you get no detentions in a full term then there is a cinema trip you can go on. And if you get none in the year you go to theme park at end of year.

I think they have planned it out a bit too much, but it is for the best I suppose. But someone in my form called Jordan shouted STOP PD on the corridoor and just got a written comment cause they had to use PD.

But it has been stressing everyone out really bad.

Also apparently the school has been on that TeachersTV channel cause of this.

Woah that must of took loads of time to plan! Hmm.. don't really know If it's that good an idea.. I mean everyone gets a detention or is chewing gun once in a while.. I would like to see how many people go to the Themepark at the end of the year! At our school we have 'Uniform Cards' if you are seen round school with incorrect/scruffy uniform (ie wearing trainers/shirt untucked) a member of staff signs you uniform card. If you get 6 points of your uniform card you egt 1 hour detention. You get a new one every term. Worked at first but then teachers stopped bothering to sign them! :P

That sounds like a new name for the yellow slip system / house point system. 3 yellow slips = detention. HP = rewards... my old school has been running that system since before my parents were even born "/
