Hey guys.

I like both phones, and I think I prefer the w860i cause of the great memory I could use for songs and what not, but I'm worried it might be a bit of a brick lol.

I'm looking for people who have either of these phones and could shed some light onthem.

Thanking you!

Samsung, they are good phones to rely on, they have a sleek desgin and have a fair bit of memory on them themselves, mainly i use my iPod to store songs on. But also, the samsung has some of the best screen views about. And i am considering getting one for my birthday.

Sony one as it is a walkman phone and has quite a good size of memory. Sony ericsson phones are always good quality as i have had 4 phones which are made by Sony ericsson.

So go for it :)

Samsung

I'd personally pick the Sony Ericsson cos its reliable, has a very good battery life, generally very high standard in the music, and the sound is excellent.

i would go with the sony erricson. One of my mates have the samsung and it aint all thrills. It really depends what you already have. If u have an ipod and dont rly use lots of memory go for samsung, but if you don't go for the sony one

Really depends on what you want in the end but if you are wanting the Sony Ericsson because of its memory...then the Samsungs memory can be uprgraded with a memory card.

And if you are worried about it being a brick then just remember that most of the new phones are quite big and the bigger phones are coming back into fashion ;]]

Well, I don't have an ipod so I am basically looking for good memory. Could anyone who has either, fill me in a bit better on the design? Rather than just looking at officialy released pics by the companies, I'd rather have customers opinions hehe.

If you have a decent MP3 player, I'd definately go with the Samsung. They're much better phones. If you're looking for something that's going to be a jack of all trades, then you'd probably be better off with the Sony Ericsson. I had an SE once and had a bad experience (as it was basically a pile of crap) so I wouldn't buy one again. The W850i does look nice, but I'm guessing it's quite big too, especially compared to the E900 which is tiny.

Sony Ericisons Are Quite Good And Do Have A Good Memory.. I Dont Think They Are That Bricking Like.. Seeing My Mate Has One.. I Have The E900 Which I Like They Are Really Good I Have Had It For Quite A While And Nothing Has Happened To It. Samsung Are A Very Good Company To Rele On, It Also Has Quite Alot Of Memory, And I Can Fit 10-15 Songs On It.:) Hope I Help You.:)

Just looked at some specs and the W850i isn't as big as I thought. It's pretty much the same size as a D600.

I'd go for the samsung d900. My uncle has it, and i am always playing on it! I want it for christmas, it saves hell a lot of memory. Personally, i dont really like sony's, i dont like there designs.

Anyway, samsung d900!

Thanks everyone for input, but keep them coming!

Do you all think there'll be upgraded, newer and better versions of phone out nearer Christmas? Think it's worth waiting?

Thanks!

Probably not. Whenever you buy there's likely to be a new model 6 months down the line, and the two you mentioned are pretty new as it is.

Well, they're both great makes.
But its your choice. In my view it doesn't matter about the size (UNLESS ITS MASSIVE!) it's about what it can do. :P

But the W850i is the only slider in the range.

The W900 is a swivel and the W950 is a regular handset.

Not necessarily. Some phones can just have a crap/faulty receiver.

I have the w860i and it's super. I would reccoment it above anything. It has the TRACKID, A walkman stereo bluetooth so you can listen whilst you transfer, a lovely video.

Seriously man, go for it. It's a must have fr music lovers. I actually think it helped me pass my GCSE!
