What can you do in your dreams??

Ghello people,

I want to know what you are able to do in your dreams. Not that you can fly or something but reall things like this:
(this is not an example but I can really do this)
When I am dreaming I can controle me a little bit, I don't walk or something but I can get out of my dream. Everytime when my dream gets scary I close my eyes and I get out of my dream. No, it is not a reflex because I can also do that when the dream isn't scary. I just close my eyes and the dream is over.

Are you also able to do something like that?? Or are you able to jump very high? It must be something you want to do and not something you dream please.

I dream of strange and scary dreams like this guy like my friend came up to me and started talking backwards and i saw a spike that he used go n his eye but i closed my eyes but i could still see him. Like a bad LSD trip

I can somtime scontrol a dream, aka relising your in a dream but the problem is you ventaly blink in it and when u open your eyes your awake.. wich can be annoying, athogh most (having little top no recolction of) i would say were just normal ones. aka having no idea they wree dreams.

Athogh i can think of time sin a dream ive wonded if it were a dream, so when people say you cant think in a dream or read that canbt be true becue i have.

One time, i wasn't feeling well, and my roomate was downstairs watching tv, and i was sleeping most of that day, and i got up, went down stairs, turned off the tv and just sat there and watched it... That only happened one time, but i was rollling on the floor laughing when i heard about it.

I am always sleep talking, but i'm not a very deep sleeper, if i move i wake up even if i open my eyes for like 2 seconds it takes me like another 10mins to get back to sleep. I always sit up in my sleep, i just automatically sit up, and don't realise it until i start getting uncomfy...

But you know what I really think is anoying? I can't eat in my dreams. When I eat I wake up. That's sooo anoying. I have a delicious steak, I put it in my mouth and I wake up. :'(

Okay, one night I slept over at my cousin's house, in her basement it was pitch black, when we went to bed I fell asleep.. and about 3 hours later.. I wake up and have no blankets so I start crying because my legs are literally BLUE! and I was freezing so i screamed.. and I realized i moved them in the corner while Sleepwalking, yet not even knowing. Once I retreived the blankets i put one under the bed so i could go back to sleep if I slept walk with the one I was using.. :'( Scary!

Thats because you DO think in your dream. Dreaming is thinking, your brain still working thats how the dream is made.

I always did that when I was younger, when it got scary I just thought I wanna wake up.

i dont mena think as in subsocnsios thinking, i mean consioly make a desion in your head, while in a dream, why dreaming your mostly pretty detached.

EDIT: Oh wait, i remember now, ages ago i heard something in my room, so i got up, but i forgot the dog was in my room that night, so it turned out to be her snoring, so i got up, and i felt a horrible feeling inbetween my toes... Yes... It was dog poo, i hopped over to the light and turned it on, and there was a big sloppy poo, and my dog looking at me obviously laughing inside!

I have alot of lucid dreams (Dreams that you can control, where you go what you do etc...) ALL of my dreams feel like real situtions, I never get chased by oversized animals or carrots or anything so i'm glad about that, alot of my dreams are scarey and I have to try wake myself up.

I don't know if any of you have had a dream that is pretty scarey so you go to wake yourself up, but can't, I remember in one I tried to bang a book on my head to snap me awake but there was no force behind it, I was like kind of floppy, I would also shout but nothing would come out! I hate those DREAMS!

For the last few weeks, I have been dreaming that I have done things, like my college work and essays, or even like done a days work and think I have wages coming, or even dreamt I have won money, only to wake up in a good mood thinking I have either done work or got loadsa dosh, but No!, nothing lmao!

I have déjà vu's all the time. They are cool but I don't know if I've seen the situation I see again in my dreams, but they are cool but the first time it happened I was shocked.

I had a dream that i was at school, al of a sudden there was deep moans and people were banging the door and we had to block the door and go on the roof, there was 6 of us and well, when we look we seen a ton of people around the building and one of them had a torch and lit the building on fire and as the blazing fire came up to me i woke up.

wow!! i can do that, like when i have a nightmare i just close my eyes and squeeze them real tight and i'll wake up! in one dream i could fly everywhere and land when i wanted but that's not ever happened more than once

i have done loads of stuff in a dream and never died, i agree. i even once dropped down this big shaft (about 10-15metres wide) and i fell for like 10 mins then finally i hit the floor and woke up and my back felt like electricity! normally i get a dream where imn at the top of my stairs and i curl up into a ball and roll down it but i sort of hover or fly and i always go far after landing and usually hit the door or the wall. i keep having a dream were all i do is fall in pitch blackness and when i hit the floor i wake up. its annoying :@ . i would reckon that my dreams are abnormal, i don't sleep walk and i rarely sleep talk. i once read a book about dreams and it said that there is 5 stages of sleep (5th is the deepest sleep) and i normally talk in the 1st and sometimes 2nd stage and i wake up just after and i find that i was talking to my sister!!! :s and i once said"why don't you buy the snake in the shop window?" when we on the subject of something else, i would like to know the ins and outs of sleep and i want to know what makes it tick. this is a great thread btw

when i was little i used to have bad dreams.. like loads of flies attacking me and crawling all over me, or once i had this drowning sensation... all my nightmares we really dark... we started keeping the outside landing light on. the nightmares stopped.. it was weird because nowadays i have to sleep in total darkness
