This isn't runescape related, but it's about this section.

This is on behalf of everyone in habbox-chat, which is most of the habbox forum users.

It's not strcitly about the new section, but that's a good example of habbox not listening, or asking, what we (as a consumer) want.
Because let's face it...without us, this section of the forum, which is rather busy, wouldn't exist.

So I had an idea that this thread should be a place where members who use this section often can post suggestions, or even mods ask our opinion for their ideas.

As for this new section, everyone I've spoken too thinks it's a waste of time, since there's a thread with links to pretty much every fan site, which have guides for everything, and aren't going to be poorly written. I also think that the section will cause more ripping...People stealing guides from others and posting them on that section. Apart from ripping, the section is going to be very underused.

If habbox mods/admin/whatever had asked the users, they would have found this out themselves.

Also kinda the same thing with the trusted list, a lot of people have opinions on this that they haven't had a chance to express, since their threads or mosts get deleted/edited/moved.

So this is my attempt at trying to find a way for habbox users of the runescape section to voice their opinions.

THIS IS NOT A THREAD FOR FLAMING

I AGREE with everything there, i mean this new section is pointless we dont need a tut/guide section we already have some decent links and stickys. The New section is just pointless and it seems habbox is getting worse by the month.

not runescape related

Yes, thanks for pointing that out, and thanks for gracing us with a completely pointless post.
Hey, I'm sure your post count will benifit though.

Again, I say don't bother posting unless you're going to post an opinion that has a point.

Rachel is right about that all.

Yeah, the section wasn't needed. As Rachel said, the links to the good fansites were already available at the top of the main section.
Bad move :)

I don't think the new section is needed either, I think it will also lead to alot of ripping and poorly/rushed guides.

Making so many sub forums, the main forum will get disused. And I don't think the new sub forum won't have too man threads.

The guides sub forum isnt meant to have so many threads anyway. People may want a small guide or something that another person has tried and find works.

Its abit like saying, we dont need site guides cause we have google and can find any guide on there.

If you dont like it, dont use it. I am sure someone will benefit from it wheather its today or next month. There are lots of good guides being posted here but they are not easily spoted because we never had the forum until now.

I do agree about the idea of making a suggestions thread or some place you guys can post your ideas however knowing the runescape forum, it will be abused and spammed to hell within hours :).

well www.gameboxforum.com is rs based, so if you give suggestions on that forum, it can be easier to make suit everyone as its for runescape rather than a forum with runescape on it :).

I think its a pretty dumb idea, mainly because the majority of users on this forum arent that experienced enough to make a decent guide.

Neither did I, who did know it was going to be added? =/ I didn't even notice it before I saw this thread lol.

I got to agree with Mad for a part, but Alex had a good point. Most users don't have the experience to make a good guide.
Only noobs will make guides there that took about 5 minutes to type and if we're lucky they added some bad pictures.
So that forum will just be spammed with bad guides and multiple guides for the same thing, guides will get lost and reposted and people will flame each other for making bad guides (like everybody gets flamed here for almost everything).

Yeah.
Although I didn't notice it.

Maybe a poll would have been a good idea asking people who actually use the forum whether they want the subforum or not?
