Can you get served without ID?

Whether or not you are over sixteen/eighteen, can you get served without ID In shops? I cant:P I tried to buy a lottery ticket yesterday without ID,but Sainsburys just werent having it

In pubs/clubbing in my town/shops no probs most of the time, but clubbing in the City they are really strict and I usually get ID'ed most of the time. :'(

I have bought cigarettes (not for me, I don't smoke) before, without much trouble... it might be because the person who served me knows me though :P
As for a lottery ticket, I have never tried so I don't have a clue. And alchohol? No way :'( Unless in Spain counts?

anything bug cigs, because in our grocery store you can just pick up a bottle of booze and go to the self-checkout, buy it, and walk out of the store :rolleyes:

otherwise, no. i used to have to argue and abuse cinema staff when i was 14 to get into a 15 :(

now i'm a lil taller, like 5ft 9 i get into a 15 BEING 15 without the ID.
but, i'd never of thought i'd regret having no spots :( i have a baby face so no to anything else really.

Booze...got clicked at football match once at half-time in the concourse bit. Got served and all that but then a steward came over and asked if I had any ID which I didn't so I got ejected from the ground :rolleyes:

Yes for the most part, although it doesnt realy matter to me anymore, i am 18 now, so even if they want id i have it "/ Very rair for anyone to ask though... in fact i can only think of one instance of me ever being id'd "/

cigarettes yeah, i'm 16 anyway, but i buy them for people and nobody has asked for ID yet.
Alcohol, i've only tried once, and i wasn't asked.
I think in most cases they wouldnt sell it to me though.

yeah for cigarettes and that, for when ive bought them for other people. ive been served a couple of times for alcohol from shops but most of the time they ask for id so no lol. but this restaurant me and my mate went in the waiter bought us a baileys haha so i can get served in there. havnt tried goin down manchester yet, dont rekon id get in anyway coz my sister whos 16 looks about 19 and she sometimes has to use my older sisters id.

In shops I can normally(butnotalways;[) get away with Lottery, scratch cards and cigarettes (they weren't for me) but I doubt I could get booze and I wouldn't get into town though there well strict in my town ''/ oh and I wouldn't even try at asda anymore you have to be 18 there to buy cigarettes ;o

Hmm, it depends on the place. For ciggies and scratch cards i always get served but alcohol is different. Theres a couple of corner shops i can get served in but they never serve me in like asda's or tesco's... They do in the spar though.
Clubs in cardiff town are reaally strict and ID ALOT but iv never been ID'd in swansea. I usually just go to a town not to far away at the weekend anyway and i always get served there.

What are you on about ;s if you win up to about £50 you can just go in a shop who sells lotto tickets and claim it with them and I am pretty sure they have never asked me for ID.

If you leave them a tip tey usually do somthing for you, no matter policy. But ive never tried, so i wouldnt know.

I got served when I was 16 without ID now Im 18 and I get asked for ID :l
