Australian Bureau of Statistics is a website where you can see all the Australian statistics to do with people. For example, the current pupulation of Australia, the population of the town you live in and most likely the state and city you live in.
The population when i wrote this was 20,685,398

This projection is based on the estimated resident population at 31 March 2006 and assumes growth since then of:
one birth every 1 minute and 59 seconds,
one death every 3 minutes and 54 seconds,
a net gain of one international migrant every 4 minutes and 47 seconds leading to
an overall total population increase of one person every 2 minutes and 11 seconds.
