View Full Version : Dragon Kahn - Spain (Porta Ventura)
I think this ride has the most loops than any other rollercoaster?
Brilliant ride, I went on with my mate.
You go up like 250 feet and then drop and as you gain speed you do a loop, then another, then you are tilted and do a corkskrew.
Brilliant Ride ;)

Used to be a record until collosus came along at TP :P
So it lasted as a record until 2002 which is good!
Looks good actually, I've heard the queues in portaventura can get horribly long though, and they dont do fastrack

I've been on that in Salou :D:D I have even got the t-shirt, no seriously I have the t-shirt, It says ''I have braved the Dragon Khan'' its black and white its klkl, after I went on it though my neck hurt for like a week it goes soo fast and is scary, Soph the ques go very fast actually, well they did when I went there and I don't know if it still it but it was the biggest rollercoaster in Europe with its 8 loops.

Oh actually, It might still hold the record for loops, Cant find it, But its lost its record for ammount of inversions anyway, Because collosus has 10, and dragon khan has 8 :p
Adams just came back from portaventura and he said the queues are HUGE.

I went on that when I went to Salou too, I have the hat (with the logo on it) alongside a gray and white gradient. :) It makes you feel quite sick and ill after though.

It looks alright actually..
I think i'd quite like it because its smooth (Well its b&m, and all of the b&m coasters ive been on before are smooth)
But if it wasn't smooth, A ride with that many inversions wouldn't be fun:P

Portaventura is rubbish, personal opinion of course.
I came back on Tuesday and honestly i've never been so pleased to get out of somewhere!
The queues where FAR too long, 1-2 hours for Stampedia no way thank-you.. Well lets go on to the Dragon Khan queue, 4 HOURS!!! - Yes, 4 HOURS.
I was tempted to pay 37 euros for the fastpass max but decided to leave the park instead.

We can use our Annual Passes there now! :D
Soph loops and inversion is the same thing, the park just use the word loop because Average Joe wouldn't know what an inversion is. ;)

Very good luck to you if you try..
Yeah, well we had to spend 1 hour arguing to even get in the park with our Annual Passes.
After 20 minutes, the woman said NO NOT VALID GO AWAY.. So we called Alton Towers (Who'd think you'd call Alton Towers to get in a spanish themepark for free? :P) - On the phone for 13 minutes, costing a huge £23 something or other.. Then when we made the spaniard speak to the manager from AT, she let us in.
Not after a one hour performace mind, GOOD LUCK to anyone that wishes to use annual passes at Portaventura.. Wouldn't waste your time though, it's a rubbish park.

That would annoy the hell out of me...
It doesn't look bad I don't think, some of the rides actually look half descent
Ok just to clarify.
The ques are 45 mins max, on saturdays/sundays.
Otherwise, they are 5-10 mins for the good rides, other rides that aren't the 'biggies' are 2 min wait.
I think that there were only about 3 decent rides at the park.
Dragon Kahn, the Lift Drop (Not sure on name, you go up about 250 feet, then DROP) and Stampida, which wasnt that good.
I think one 'ride' that was funny was we went in some room, and they shut the door, and their are all these zombie people (speaking spanish) so i lol'd
and he got an axe, and smashed it on the table, screamed at me in spanish,
i laughed again, so he told me to lead the way into the darkness, so i did, and along the way people were popping out at you etc.. (trying to scare you, not me though cos im 'ard) then they started chasing you, so you had to run,
to 'escape' this haunted house, and catch the 'train' to run away, the train was the rollercoaster, and like thats what got you out the house to escape, was quit funny actually.
Ty for reading this long post.. feels long anyway.
Btw, I give Port Aventura Theme Park 6.5/10.
