I hate the poisenous ones, but who doens't? I don't really like the big ones but I would still hold one. I don't mind house spiders, but I still 'get rid of them' *ahem* when I see one in my room, I just don't like the thought of them crawling around my feet or in my bed.

I like spiders, i let them crawl on me, i raise a few black widows, i let them crawl on me, i feed them magots, and i think i grew abond with them :) if i see on outside, and its on a spider web, i lay my hand out and let them crawl on me, and i always ask the pet shop people if i can hold the tarantulas.

I'm not really bothered about spiders, i used to own a tarantula but it escaped...Ha ha, kidding, it didn't really, i had to give it away 'cause it bit my wee brother, so i gave it to a friend who already owned to of them...

Possibley because people these days realise death is a part of life, it is bound to happen, there is no way to avoid it, just increase the time before it happens :)

Also maybe because they are not face to face with death as they are with spiders

I have the phobia but not as much as my sister. I can stand a baby spider that is like a dot. My sister who is in her early 20's can't even stay in the same room with a spider that is about the size of a speck of dust o.O I have a weird family -.- :$

ANyway there are far worse fears, i know someone who fears birds (chickens duck etc) thats probly wireder (or more persifcly less common)

Lol my mates laugh at me because ill have a boxin spar with someone twice my weight and size and im not scared but when i see a spider ill run like a girl... haha
