Email I received.

Hi Laurence

Well, thanks to you and to all the habbox members who took the time to reply to my questionnaire - really helpful. I'm glad that generally speaking everyone there found the article a fair one - and that all those who greeted my initial appearance on habbox with a torrent of sceptical abuse now know that I wasn't full of crap :) A lot was cut from the original I handed in (my fault for getting carried away and giving the Telegraph 1500 words too many), most notably about the mafias... I'd also quoted far more habbox members, and given you (8freak8) a namecheck.

Anyway, thanks again for all your help. Feel free to post this on habbox - I'd like to pass on my gratitude to all concerned.

Cheers

Tim

You

I guess we will all have our own opinion on that tombo60 since we all have different things we like and dislike in people. I thought on the most part, he came across quite well, lol. But, I would imagine, a lot of the article and the quotes included was edited significantly to suit the papers own desires about where they wanted to go with it.

I thought it was quite a fair share of pro/anti. Very interesting piece.

That's your opinion, but he always touched on many of the positive aspects of the site and the community too.

The article I read on Habbox was a mixture between both the pros and cons of Habbo... Well that's how I saw it anyway. I think he did get a bit carried away with scamming and so on though, which is a very negative way to talk about Habbo, which in my opinion, wasn't a good way to talk about Habbo. Even though it does tell you exactly what happens on Habbo. Scamming, trading and power crazy fools.

He really did take the beef out of habbo/x though.

I think he highlighted most of the bad points of Habbo, but he only saw where UKchaserAl took him. I know his Habbo name was Sgt-Farnsworth if you want to check it out, and congrats to him for being the first person to give Sulake a reality check.

I know theyve got Habbo cards.. Im not sure about trading cards. They got released for a limited time with a UKash offer in manchester ONLY.
Moving on, he seemed a pretty chilled out guy and i had to laugh at his comment on the people who didnt believe him and thought he was a load of crap. Heh.
