Its not vital, and sometimes, it takes a few CSS hacks to get it sorted

Well.

W3C Valid isn't always the best option as it doesnt always provide the look you exactly want.

And often, in an attempt to get it valid, you need to use CSS hacks, which I dont like doing much. So I code so that its cross-browser, which sometimes isnt Valid :)
