how do u know if a guy likes you?

Soooo...theres this guy and i pretty sure he likes me. I like him alot, and if he likes me back (i want to b sure 1st) i want to ask him out. Well how do i know if he likes me?

I think so because: He's very protective of me, walks with me in the hall, talks to me everyday,comes over almost everyday,sits next to me in class,usually looks at me in class, usually smiles or waves at me in class, picks me to b his partner for projects and things, and probably more things i'm not thinking of.
