Work problem, need an excuse

Okay, I couldn't find a forum specifically about work, so I'll post it here. Anyway, I am going with my mate (DirgeOfCerberus) to see wrestling in Nottingham live on Friday the 10th of November, and it will be on for quite some time. I am going back to his house after to play video games, watch DVDs etc, and the following day, I have to go to work. I need an excuse for not going so I can miss work, since I am planning to do an all nighter at his house, thus making me unable to get up for work. I went on holiday last week and missed the saturday so I can't use that excuse. All good excuses will be rewarded with reputation. (By the way, I am not a homosexual or a bisexual before you ask)

Just say you caught one of them 24 hour bugs, aka throwing up, sore throte etc... there never want you to come in if the throwing up is check.
Plus since there 24/48 hour things, theres no specualty on a miricle recovery if you go in the next day etc?

You don't need an excuse for the first three days you stay off.

Idk where I heard that but apparently if your employer asks you you don't have to tell them.

Food poisoning is a good way to go, Unpredictable and happens pretty often.

Sick family member, virus going around your house, Hurt ankle[my fav], headache, flu, bad food, personal medical problems, important family function ie wedding. These loads just make sure its believeable

Anyways, don't say it's a family issue because sooner or later they will usually find out. I'd call in sick, but I wouldn't say that you have a cold or anything like that, say that you have food poisoning, where you don't sound like your sick, but you are sick. Say that your condition is extremely bad, and that you vomit about every 10 minutes or so (Well that's what it was like when I had food poisoning) Then the next day at work, try to act a bit sick, but say you took some tablets etc. and you feel about 90% good to go. I'm sure most people will believe you. :P


Btw, have fun at the house show your going to see, i've been to 1 RAW and 1 house show and both were great xD

Oh and make sure to take lots of pictures especially when the divas come out, there's usually plenty of wardrobe malfunction hehe..
