Xfire makes a signature for you and puts on it how many hours you've clocked up on the game total and in the week.

It also lets you chat to other users I think (bit like msn)

It's much much much better than the friends part of steam, it's not just for steam games aswell...

xfire isnt just the signature, its a way of talking to people while playing games like css etc, you can press scroll lock + x to make it popup in the game without having to minimise the game

you can also use it to download files

Basically just a chat programme which tracks your games for you, also allowing you to join servers that your freinds are on.. most people who play css and WoW will probably have it, a good way of communicating with each other.
