I believe the forum games section is becoming out of hand "/ It is turning into a 'make up some lame excuse for a game to get your post count up' section. I think the forum games need to either be chosen/moderated better or just post count not count like spam section.
Your thoughts?

I've noticed it getting out of hand for a long time, people (not naming names (http://habboxforum.com/member.php?u=4878)) have always abused it and treated it purely as a forum to unproductively boost their post count. The only deterrent I can imagine to prevent this, would be to stop post counts rising within this forum all together (I've seen such steps taken on other forums).

I agree with you, but it's almost impossible to give people warnings or infractions there, because most posts are only 1 word anyway.

I think post count shouldn't go up there aswell.

Problem is, if post count was disabled there - many people would lose a alot of posts, and they wouldn't be very happy.
I'd say it needs it's own set of strict rules (like trading) and a small group of Moderators who will enforce those rules.

Hmm, you got a point there.
Perhaps only games where you actually have to type something should be allowed, so no 1 word games.

If posts in that forum didn't count, so many people would drop by a couple of hundred posts.

I think the spam games should just be moved to the spam forum were post count doesnt count :p.

Thanks

Well then you need to tell your MODs to do this. And if they lose a few hundred posts so what? It's spam pretty much and all of the mods posted have agreed with me.

I guess he wants to compete for high post count :p.
Oh yeah completely, nice civil way for a staff member to act?

And cheers everyone else who posted + agreed.:)

But loads of people with high post counts, like moi, well 5000 is quite high, have got banned. That's losing 5000 posts. I didn't mind that much.

And what's wrong in people who have abused that section losing post counts? It's their fault for being sad enough to post a few thousand times in that section.

I think it is good to let post count increase, but maybe we should be more critical considering what is a game and allowed and what is just spam and not allowed.

Yeah, thats basically what I said, explained in a different way :p.

I don't really think high post count changes anything. Wheather you have 10 posts or 1000 posts, it doesnt make much difference :).
