Even if she missed just one pill I think there is still a chance of her getting pregnant.

For a start the morning after pill is effective for pretty much 3 days, 72 hours after sex, its just that the sooner you use it the more likely it is, that if you are pregnant it will be effective.
But even taking the morning after pill theres still a 1/10 chance it won't work.
If your unsure, get your girlfriend to see a doctor.

Well on the positive side she would be very unlucky to get pregnant if she only missed one but she is at risk until she has a period if she has missed pills.

Really if ur cant get birth control right cause even if she is still on the pillu sould always wear a condom and if u dont then to tbh ur not clued up and shouldnt be having any sexual relationship. because it looks like u know nothing about the pill which u should even if u are a guy sorry just my view |#

Take this experience as a great lesson.

If your in a sexual and physical relationship but there some sort of failure of communication then your wasting your time. There's no point being with someone and agreeing to stick to both of your agreements on contraception (in this case she takes the pill), but then she just 'misses it' once or twice. Fair enough, she may have forgotton to take it, but she should have no way have had sexual intercourse knowing there was no protection at all and then now your only both worrying about the consequences afterwards.

Now, I suggest you take a home pregnancy test and that might be able to put your mind at ease. However, if youd just rather get the morning after pill then you better be fast, as the sooner you take it the more effective it will be, and the longer you leave it the less chance there is of it working. You should be able to get the morning after pill pretty easily in the UK over the counter of your local pharmacy. There is generally effects of sickness afterwards, but if both of you are serious about this then it's worth it.

I strongly recommend in future you both communicate before having intercourse, and ensure that she has taking her pill, or that you are planning on using a condom. Or even better - why not do both? The feeling and sensation is generally the same, but it also gives you added protection and will help prevent something like this re-occuring. If your girlfriend continues to take her pill irregularly, it's not going to be as effective, and will be moreso than other times. Therefore ensure she is taking it every day like supposed to be, and especially days in which you have intercourse.

I'm not just trying to talk down to you or anything here, I'm giving you some good advice, and your honestly worth taking heed of it.

*1/100

Basically like Warn said, 72 hours is the most effective time period, where it should work, then after that the chances of it working properly drop dramatically. If she missed 2 days and then went back on it she should be fine, but get a test anyway.

What you might not know is that it feels a trillion times better without.

Technicaly theres even a chance with the pills, but on a statisticly likly basis, missing just one, means they may as well have had none at all, but then again that doesnt nessarly mean they will "/

That's true. Honestly, you really ought to use a condom in the future. Yeah, it may not feel as great, but would you really rather have to worry about things like this instead? And I agree entirely with Ostinato - you need to communicate better before sex, and really, just be safe.

In any case, it probably is too late now for the morning after pill. I suggest getting a home pregnancy test and finding out with that. If your girlfriend does that, though, make sure she takes more than one pregnancy test, because one by itself isn't always accurate. Other than that, I suppose all you can do is wait and hope for the best..

I'm really sorry though, and I hope it works out. A friend of mine just went through this, although her situation was slightly difference since in her case they were using a condom, but it broke. Really though, use condoms and birth control in the future.. it saves a lot of heartache.

Fingers crossed for you.
