We were talking about this in Religion today.
I wouldnt, I know I could look after a baby but its too young to loose your youth and be a parent for the rest of your life.

i really hate it when people say that. as if a baby would ruin your life/take over your life. well no? they don't. yeah sure they take up a lot of time, but everyone knows that, for the first few months or whatever it would be exhausting, but when you've got past that and got used to the idea it won't be like that.

yea@benji,
but you'd like to have a bit of a life and travel some places without a child, before you settle down and have children..

No, I'm still a teenager and I want to be a teenager, not tied down with some child, I want to live with freedom first.

oh don't get me wrong i know. it just seemed to me you implied it as if having a baby would ruin your life. i agree with you, at the average age of the current forum users on here it would be too young to have a baby, i wasn't suggesting that i would as i posted further up saying no ^^
that probaly seems like a bit of a contradiction now though.

No. I want children but not that early.
I prefer people around my own age.
Are you some kind of pervert?

Maybe, depends how my jobs going and if I can afford it at the time.
No. I would wait until I am comfortable with the fact I have enough money and a decent job etc so I know I can look after my partner and the child properly.
For what I want to do, I got six years in University before that can happen ;)

No i wouldnt.
Too much responsibility at that young age. You should be focusing on education.

Why, do you think that when kids get to 3 or whatever it's an easy ride? Not really, if anything it gets harder 'cos kids start nurseries and stuff meaning that although you get rid of them through the day, you still need to arrange for people to pick them up/drop off, help them with work/reading after a day's work yourself, pay for them to go and everything.
My mums a childminder and lots of kids' parents think that as soon as their kids are at nursery and grow up it gets easier but actually it's probably the same. Then when they get to 10+ they have all other worries of going to high school, exams and all of that.
i really hate it when people say that. as if a baby would ruin your life/take over your life. well no? they don't. yeah sure they take up a lot of time, but everyone knows that, for the first few months or whatever it would be exhausting, but when you've got past that and got used to the idea it won't be like that.
It's an interesting subject though, my 15 year old step-cousin is pregnant by her 17 year old boyfriend and she thinks its all gonner be good and that as soon as the babies born shes gonner go straight to college and train to be a nurse which is highly unlikely because i) I don't think colleges are crying out for 15 year old with kids at the moment and ii) the fact she can't pay for childcare means she is going to have to stay at home.
I think people who have kids at that age are pretty immature, especially my step cousins whos MSN name is '(*)110 days to go(*)' as if it's a countdown to christmas or something. I know mistakes happen but in the modern world there's enough contraception both before and after sex available that mistakes can be rectified.
And to answer the thread title; No, I wouldn't dream of it both now and in later life. (With my mum been a childminder I've grown up around crying babies and I'd prefer my adult life to not involve any :D)

Having children is the last thing on my mind at the moment! :o ]
I like my life the way it is the now, and plan to enjoy myself whilst I'm young and make the most of life rather than get tied down with kids, when I know for a fact that I'm not mature enough, and definetley not ready to bring up and look after another person in this world.
I like just having fun at my age, and hope to do so for a long time. I think I'll know when the time is right to settle down and have kids, but I don't plan on it being until I'm around 30! Hehe :P
uh huh her

oh same, even though i don't want one now, i could never have an abortion.
I was commenting on some strange person asking if 15 - 19 is ok to have a baby but writing the question out like he was asking if you would date one.

no way! I love babies and that, but I reckon I'm gonna be one of them old parents when the kid is only like 10, and like have a baby at 30 or something
I wouldn't. I'm gonna wait til I'm atleast 30 to settle down and start a family. My parents were quite old when they had me.. my dad was 39 and my mum was 35. I have no problem with that, it's just that most 13 year olds parents only only late 30's early 40's, and it seems like I won't see as much as my parents as thy will because mine will die 50-10 years before theirs.

After my sister giving birth to my niece, I've realised that babies are adorable! :P My family think I'm great with my niece, so of course I would love to go for a baby :)
But I'd only go for one if I was about 20 or something ;)
No lol. I don't think I'm mentally and emotionally mature enough to look after a baby full-time, and I wouldn't be able to support it without the help from other people. I wouldn't want to feel like a liability!
If it happened though, and wasn't planned, I'd do everything in my capability to keep the child.
