Okays, a few years ago we got an astro turf put in and got rid of "The all weather pitch" we go here for fire assemblys ect ect. Well, today there was a fire alarm and we went there, and we got told that the material the "grass" was made out of is flamable. So, theres a fire so they lock us in a flamable cage :rolleyes:

Unless your flamable grass is really near the school then I doubt it'd get on fire to... unless it was really some sort of weird freakish fire. Lol in that case, I would be running home - I wouldn't be standing about waiting to get registered.

Lol stupid ! well at my school we had to go to the middle of the school which was surrounded by all the buildings so it would be like a circle of fire !

if you're in food, you have to go out the fire exit which goes out of the school grounds, then walk to a gate, wait for the site agent to unlock that to let you BACK IN to the school to get registered. how pointless.

I had a fire drill today & we go our field. [[:

o there was a fire in art room yesterday cause the thermostat on kiln broke and the flame got too hot and set fire alarm off.
Fire people had to go in and turn it off and stuff.

we go on the tennis courts, which is next to languages & RE. & not that close to the building. so we're safe [:

at my school they are building a new english block and most of the pathways are blocked off, so you have to go right through the school to get to the fire point... but our fire alarm is crap coz if someone sets it off, they turn it off after like 20 seconds without even checking if there was a fire or not, so we never evacuate neway..

Anyway I've come to conclude that it is safe as each school has to do something called a 'Risk assesment' which means they have to go through everything and see the risks and if there are more bad things than good they can't do it . So they test science labs ,radiators ,(sp?) D.T equipment and yes even the fire meeting point ta da !

Oh, ours in on the astroturf too, well not astroturf, but its that fake grass stuff with the little black rubber balls in it. Dunno if its flamable or not :S

Lmao, in my old school we had to line up outside the Science block and we were like 150meters or something like that away from it. It was very stupid.

We only have real grass at our school =(, cept tennis courts.
We have to go on the oval's or soccer field. In summer if theres a fire we have to get our hats out of our bags, yet we must not take anything else. . . How stupid!

lol at our college we have to go to a completely diff road like 500 metres away from the place so i think were safe..... At my old skl it was the tarmaced tennis courts.

We go onto the basketball court when we have fire alarms :p we use to go onto the tennis courts though but they have mobile classrooms on them and have done for two years but they are finally getting rid of them in September when all the new buildings done.
