View Full Version : Wanting to change my diet

I am wanting to change my diet although I really lack motivation. The thing is I'm not overweight, or anything like that infact I'm about average weight. I just want to change my diet so I can have a better body internally instead of all this junk I eat, and so it helps improve football performance! After watching some programmes and looking back at what I generally eat I am pretty annoyed at myself. On a saturday/sunday I will eat biscuits for breakfast, have a meal such as beans on toast or something like that, snack on chocolate/cake during the day, eat a generally alright meal[health-wise] and then continue to eat chocolate/cake during the night. Not only am I not really putting any of this weight on, I don't have the motivation to cut down on my chocolate/cake/biscuits. During the week for snacks I'll eat biscuits/choc/cake over a piece of fruit or something healthy. I want to get into more healthy foods, could you suggest some healthy foods or help me change my diet or provide a link with a good balanced diet or something, thanks in advance:)

You aren't fat, as you said, so you're doing this for a better body? Or because you feel bad for eating these foods such as chocolate?
I like to keep fit, and now I hardly ever eat chocolate, because I dont ever get the urge to eat it.
Breakfast, needs to be big, remember its meant to be the biggest meal of the day, so have cereal, egg, yoghurt etc..
Lunch, bit smaller, pasta, tuna, jacket potatoe etc.. Dinner, is meant to be the smallest, however is probably on average peoples largest! My mum will usually cook something healthy, such as fish, chicken..
Snacks - fruit or yoghurt, raisins maybe etc..
Drink lots of water!
Tell whoever you live with to buy some healthy options.
After a while, you get used to it, and like me won't want to eat biscuits and chocolate etc. Enjoy ;)
