Control has been bobbatized :p Because of scammers and other people who use the keyboard controls to their advantage, so thats why she probly bleeped it out :p

No need for that :l Bobba p/w or pass or pass.word etc :l Control can be used in enough legal ways to be unbobba'd. Still, thats a good insight and I'd rep you if I could but my computer doesnt let me rep or do lots of things :eusa_wall

Nope it isnt because of 'Cont' me and ang went through all the possibilities from the word 'control' and 'cont' isnt filtered just the full word 'control'

Yeah i agree with u all it is silly.....
but I think its got summin to do ctrl (crtl = also bobba'd) + m (anutha way to 'enter')
This might have been done to reduce scams because people say:
type ur pword and then press ctrl + M...
n now scamma's have to think of anutha to say tht!

I thought it might be the 'cont' word, but I tested all of the following:
co, con, cont, contr, contro and they wasn't bobba'ed, it's just the whole word control that is. I can't understand why but trying to find out!

Here's An Update:

ctrl is bobbad

ctl is not bobbad

cntrl is not bobbad

cntl is not bobbad

So Im guessing they were aiming to bobba the keyboard key though they didn't bobba all abbrieviations, just one, probably because they don't know about the others or don't think they're used much

Even if it is to stop people from giving others keyboard commands i think it's stupid, why not give us a list of the words we're allowed to use (all 10 of them), just so we know.

There is a scam where habbos tell a user to type their pass and then press control + m (this makes them say what they have typed). Filtering control and ctrl makes this a bit harder for them to do.

That explains why Control is filtered, someone mentioned it earlier in the thread, just clearing it up! :)

I dont think it's a waste of time, if it stops people getting scammed then it sounds good to me :)

It's ridiculous, Habbo Hotel is MEANT to be for the "teen-ages", yet they censor (sp?) out half of the vocabulary.. Okay, yes some of the swear words are rude and unappropriate but it's what the majority of teenage environments will do.
