Right,
You're an adult with the most popular habbo fansite ever-Why do you need to worry about whether or not the filter is the same as Habbo? The majority of the users on here don't even use habbo-We're not official, never going to be,habbo cant do jack-It's your site, surely you can decide what and whats not? Its built up such a big fanbase (Habbox) That you dont even really NEED habbo anymore-Sure,you're gonna say it's not appropriate for younger users-Why can't you put an age limit on some forums, and say you're entering at your own risk or something?
Just my opinion

If it's aimed at Sierk, why don't you just pm him?
Anyway, I think it's good that the filter is the same as habbo's filter, the majority of people still play habbo and it is a habbo fan site, if habbox ever wants to get official again (not sure if sierk wants it to be official) then it shouldn't have lots of swearing people because of a bad filter.
The filter also has a positive effect on the environment, I don't think this forum would be as good if there was no filter.

If it's aimed at Sierk, why don't you just pm
Because then you wouldn't have been able to share your views on the subject.

If Swearing WAS Allowed On The Forum, There Would be No Decent Conversations And Stuff, The Mind Wanders For Words When You Can't Swear, I Think Sierk Is Trying To Create A Forum Full Of Good, Clean Conversations, And Not Just Random Swear Words

I am sure Jin would be geeky enough to do this:
A option for the user to turn the filter on or off. Just for them, that way if someone doesn't agree with swearing then they can turn the filter on for them.

Nerdy is not the right word here, drunk is much better. :)

Theres swearing and then theres using words of 'swear' ethnicity correctly. I've been on plenty of forums aimed at young teens and upwards, a bit like this forum which have Moderators to just warn/ban the people that use those words in a bad manner. Where as the people that use them in a way which is just... Not bad so to speak can continue to post and enjoy them selves.
Theres a big difference in using the words.
For example:
"You (the 'F' word) ******* twit, get lost from this thread" - Indicating hate using a swear word which is dealt with by the mods accodingly.
"(The 'S' word) **** guys, I got to go, I'm late! Bye bye!" - A common use of this word with no harm to anyone else.
Don't categorise it all in one lump.

even with a filter on, i tried to access habbox forum from my phone and it was filtered by my phone as suitable for over 18s over. i see no reason for having or not having the filter. you can all manage without swearing cant you? some of you seem to have typing tourettes.

There's really no need for people to use they terms.
They consist of very colloqueil, rude and offensive terms which are simply not needed. The majority of them arn't welcome in the English language, and therefore arn't on here either.
These terms can all be used and are harmful and offensive in a number of different concepts. I understand that some users may class themselves as adults, and mature enough to understand, handle and cope with people using these terms - which is fair enough - but a lot of this forum is made up of younger people, and people such as myself and other staff members who don't want to be viewing swearing here, there and everywhere when it just isn't needed.

That is why I gave an idea in my post above.

Yeah it's a good idea what Craig said but the filter stuff doesn't bother me
unless something is filtered when you are using it in a perfectly fine context,
like if you say you are a bast......, meaning that your parents arnt married.

The filter will not be removed.
Whatever you say, the vast majority of people who use this forum are Habbo users and are young. We don't have the filter for Sulake, we have the filter for us.

they won't get rid of filter end of story.
There is no reason why you HAVE to swear, so there is no reason for them to get rid of the filter when it is doing more good than bad.

Most people that use hxf use or have used habbo. The filter is necessary so that people don't get offended and fights don't start up so fast. People already complain about infractions, if you brought in good / bad ways of using swear words, it would increase the fuss even more.
