I think they wanted to match it with MODE
All Iced furni is changed in Pink.. So why try to match Iced and Candy?

They just made it darker, nothing to do with matching it to mode/ice/area!

A lot of people share your opinion including salon owners. There is that bright pink mode coming out so there'll be that.
