In my other thread, I was very calm and did not rant, just give my opinion on this matter over rules, infractions and other issues on HabboxForum.
This is a rant and I don't care at the moment, I've gone past the point of reason with the Moderators/Super-Moderators here. (Not all of you, some of you are great).
I have just recieved an infraction for 'Insulting a member of staff'. Now, you see this and you're probably thinking, "Damn, he must of said something pretty bad to him/her!" Right?
WRONG
I got an infraction for PMing this to a Moderator: "Haha, [Get's the warning removed]. Typical example of bad moderation."
Now please tell me where I have been excessivly rude, very mean and even vulgar to this person? Hmmm? Cause if you don't know, I'm lose.
If this continues, you will lose members at such a rapid pace and this place will turn into a place where noone want to post and HAVE FUN!

He/She obviously couldn't be bothered to deal with you, so he used the infraction method to shut you up. They're obviously not doing their jobs properly. An infranction should not be used as a response to a private message. It is pathetic!

Agreed. If you upset a moderator, expect an infraction coming your way. They hold grudges.

I think the way you said it is a bit rude, but I don't know the full context.
I personally think most of the people here complain way too much, yes, we make mistakes, yes, we don't always give infractions for the right reasons but we're only human, humans make mistakes. There is a little thread where you can report those infractions and they get removed but still you're complaining, I don't think you'll ever be pleased untill there are no (s)mods and admins anymore and you can do what ever you want, no more rules, no more infractions/user notes/any other punishment.
You are sick and tired of bad infractions, we're sick and tired of complaining members, you may say that it's our fault that you're complaining, but we're not making you stay here, if you don't like it, leave, go to some other habbo forum, the other 90% of the members who do like it here will stay, it'll make everybody happy.
You're saying we'll lose lots of members if it continues like this, but I only see about 10 people complaining in this forum, but I've never seen one of them actually leave like they always say they will, even though we haven't changed anything. (Apart from the off-topic rules.)

The thing is micky, you would be peeved too if you were recieveing infractions/warnings and then having them reveresed every day for not doing anything wrong.
The way I said it was an opinion you can't retract an opinion.
I now have it removed so I was right in what I was saying, it was a typical example of bad moderation.

Yes, you can do something, when mods or any other staff is breaking the rules or lacking the skills you can report them to Seacat, A4AOwen, Ostinato or their department manager, I've done it in the past and some got fired, some got warned. You may think they don't do anything, but you can't see the warning, so the next time that person does the same thing again, you won't report him/her because you think they'll only warn him again.

My post wasn't directed at you only btw.
But yeah, I would be angry too, but making threads like these, which'll get closed after a while anyway, doesn't help much, I don't think Seacat pays much attention to this, I think it would be much better if you pm'ed Seacat with a complaint (Or A4AOwen), they're being very strict with us now, so a mod who makes lots of mistakes will probably get fired (or warned first).
I'd rather see the bad mods getting fired than having a dozen people agreeing with me that some mods are bad at moderating.
I think Seacat is the best person to PM about staff issues.

its probably better not to PM sierk, as he gets a lot of PMs in a day. your best bet is either Seacat, A4AOwen or Ostinato, possibly 8Freak8 or even smiddy1234 (as he is Staff Editor).
but there are plenty of options open for who to message.

Why thanks
Well looking at this thread I agreed with you that it was OTT. But reading the infraction there was another sentence or two which might have pushed it a little. To be honest it was not really all that necessary for a warning, but there's not as much of a basis. If you had just said -Gets removed- that's one thing but yeah :p Next time just report the infraction and get it removed and don't even bother talking to the moderator and getting a new one. I do agree that it wasn't that bad but still, the other bit was a bit mean.
However the admins are aware that some mods tend to overuse infractions and as I said before Seacat is making it a point to sort this out ;]

i agree.
is also bad that
insult a member of the forum = infraction
insult a super mod = ban.
what makes them so much better that we deserve a ban?

Some Mods are OTT! Imo, the site managers and admins should look through what they're doing like!
Also, what does Smiddy actually do as Staff Editor?!?!
People will probably leave if this gets out of hand with the infractions.. I mean, sometimes the spam forums even a place to complain now. But has anyone noticed the name? Spam Ive even seen mods infract someone for double posting in the SPAM forum!
It needs a wee bit sorting..

personally im tired of pointless infractions aswell mine was for -repping a staff member, i revenge repped or something and i waz like huh
i think eternalmasque was best s. mod no offense to the others but he waz so good at his job
also if they dont wise up on the way the give infractions they will start losing members because im sure everyone would raher be on a forum u didnt get in trouble for every thing you do thats not even bad.
and i dont see anything wrong with the om u sent, bet if you sent a pm like that to me you wouldnt get in trouble, its only coz u said it to mod
I would agree that this infraction was incredibly harsh, we are all entitled to our opinion and if you think the Moderation on this forum isn't great then there shouldn't be a problem with that.
I am under the impression that rules and infractions etc are currently being reviewed, so just stay patient.

In the infraction it shows the full PM, which I would say is just enough to warn you.

I'm not complaining about the infraction, just the way I recieved it. I mean, those extra things, Nvr, were completly clean and had no hidden meaning what so ever.
It's not my fault he has such a virgin mind. = /
Oh, and my infraction hasn't been removed because I apparently was being 'Mean'. We're not 5. O_o

People do keep overwatch on the mods ;) Also why bring Smiddy into this? What did he do to you? Anyway Staff Editor adds staff permissions and removes them, it was added to his title because managers were confused as who to send it to. Mods infracting for double posting in the spam forum isn't often, and the infraction is always reversed if reported.

What do you mean about the way you recieved it? As I agree maybe it shouldn't have been given, maybe just a PM warning. Also, whether you wanted it or not the meaning was there, and it could be misconstrued. For example, if I were to call someone a "stupid gay" which I would never do of course, I would be called homophobic though I could be using it in the other sense. Especially by using the word virgin which does have rude implications you could've insulted them. Once again, it was barely enough for an infraction but given the full PM we don't have enough to reverse it.
It's not my fault he has such a virgin mind. = /
Oh, and my infraction hasn't been removed because I apparently was being 'Mean'. We're not 5. O_o
Erm that's not a valid reason for not reversing it, unless they said something else, so I'll look into it.

But, Nvr. If you are usinjg it in the correct way and they miss-interpretate it, then shouldn't look at the context of the way you have said it and what you said along with it?
I wasn't swearing and saying things of a sexual nature and then go on about his virgin mind.
I explained what I meant and how I said it with the other things I said and there was nothing wrong with what I said. If someone has a virgin mind, then they have a virgin mind. They're more sensitive to other peoples ways of saying things.
Not that he has an 'un-sexed mind' Lmao. :p
Edit: Theres things like what you said about saying that "Stupid Gay" or whatever but like I said, you look at the context, how they said it and who they were saying it too. You don't just assume "Right, he said something which I assume is dirty and wrong, I'll infraction him".
It's just not fair.

Hey,
I can see why this is annoying. I would be annoyed to however its best not to reply to automated PMs as it just causes trouble. You should forward the pm to one of the forum management (myself, A4Aowen, Ostinato or Seacat) to look into. We can use the database to check the PM you sent to the moderator as well. If you tell us (in the pm) which mod gave you the infraction and if its the same mod that gave you the previous infraction you replied to.
Thanks
