I have to admit, with Callie around the hotel seemed a more lively place. She was a very communal manager as she was always involved. She took the Sulake made quests, and made them her own. Whereas Lost_witness does what he needs to get by, and thats about it. I think the hotel has lost alot of users recently.

I was a massive Habbo'er.. i was online alot of my time.. and i stopped playing just before Callie left. There was nothing left for me to do in the hotel.

There releasing new versions all the time, it's a shame that people dont really care.. fair does it's all great for like 2 hours.. then people get used to it and it becomes normality and not "omgomgomgomg new version comin soon wowowowow!!"

I left because i realised that i was wasting my life sat infront of a machine..

Sulake should realise that there is a massive problem with youth's sat infront of there machines on Habbo Hotel for x number of hours. When i was on it it was stupid, it started to control my life. It was like.. wow i must get home.. got to be at this room for this time. It was a bit lame now i look back.

If your still a avid player of Habbo you will probably read this and think this is a load of bull.. it was only after stopping playing the game i realised what it was actually like.

Sulake should realise that there is increasing problems in Childhood obesity.. Agression in children.. and notice that maybe they have a duty as the content providers to control the amount of time users spend. There answer to this would no doubt be that parents should be doing this.. but that's simply palming off the problem onto someone else.
I think they should take on there responsobility, and try and restrict the amount of usage time users have.. they should find out what make's it so addictive and put measures in place to try and ease it a bit.

Of course, this will never happen, after all Sulake is a buisness, it's designed to make a profit for the company and i'm sure it succedes quite succesfully. Sulake wouldnt want to put people off using the game, as it's not practical really.

So where does the regulation have to come from?

Maybe there should be regulation from Internet Watchdog's such as OFCOM and indeed ISP's themselves to try and tackle the problem.

Why would they want to sort out that? People are playing their game like mad. Sulake are a buisiness and what as many customers as they can get. More players = more money. More money = expansion. Expansion = more players. More players = More money. And the cycle goes on and on.

Clearly.. looking at the whole point of this thread visitors arnt going up, infact quite the opposite.

As explained, if you care to read my previous posts, that there should be more regulation into how much time people are allowed to spend on Habbo and games like it.
Over the past years there have been noticable rises in Obesity, Childhood concentration. Companies such as Sulake have to take some of the blame, and tackle the problem.. not shift it off onto other things.

It angers me when people are more concerned about making profit than actualy considering the affects it's having on people.

There's no way they'll do it by themselves.. they need guidence to be put in place from regulators to force them to do it!

It's not like the whole of UK's teens are hooked on habbo and its a major problem, it's just a handful of teenagers who have nothing better to do than destory their social life by playing an online game for hours on end. Sulake needs to make money, so they are going to bring out new rares and new version to try and atttract new players. But how does this tie in with people being addicted?

Like alcohol, habbo is good in moderation. You can't complain at sulake for trying to make money, you can't complain that alcohol companies sell beer. You can't stop the few people who get addicted to Habbo, you can't stop the drunks on the streets.

Hotel Managers (Community Officers) do have alot on there plate, granted. Indeed Habbo has become more Complex.. espically from the staffing end at Sulake. There has been a series of reforms within the company which have resulted in an all around better product. I ask myself the question though.. do these make a diffrence in the be-all-and-end-all. Habbo is still a Chat-Based Game and will continue to be.. Sulake expanding it will only make them more money and maybe some more users..

I dont think you was right to use Alcholosim as a connatation for playing habbo..
