I wrote this in about 2 hours. I quite like it. Read rate slate ect ect
The frosty air settled around the old park, the sky rumbled threateningly as the heavy snow covered the frozen town. A chilly, cruel breeze was hanging over the park. The old oak trees swung around, shaking the snow off it's leaves much as a wet dog does. The silent cottages looked like a scence out off a christmas card, snowwy and peaceful. The kiddie swings moved slightly, like a toddler was on it, and a worried mum wasn't letting him go any higher. The slide was jammed with snow and the roundabout looked too tired to go round. A distant owl hooted breaking the long peaceful silence.
A girl sat up from the cold, snowwy park bench and shook herself slowly. She wiped her face, brushing away her silent tears. The bitter cold stung her face and the cold snow made her body feel numb. She couldn't belive how happy she'd been afew hours ago, and now she was reduced to sleeping on a cold bench. The girl's name was Crystal, she was 16. Her frizzy brown hair swung over her face as a single tear escaped her crystal blue eyes. Her happiness had dissolved so quickly. And now no one cared, or knew, if she was alive. She remebered every detail of what happend. A flashback that played in her head over and over.
She had been in the kitchen on her own, her parents had gone on a romantic holiday and left her alone for the weekend. A beeping of the phone made Crystal jumped before running to the phone and answering it. Her mum's voice spoke quickly over a noisey street.
"Hi hun, You'll never guess what. When we got here there was a MASSIVE mix up, everythng was wrong, and as a sorry there giving us a free rental car and hotel room for a week! You don't mind do you hun?" She asked excitedly. Crystal sighed, she knew if she said no it wont matter.
"Yer sure," She said, before smiling, she now had an excuse to stay with her boyfriend the whole week.
Crystal had never been popular at school, and it was such a shock when Steve, the guy she'd always had a slight crush on, asked her out. Of course she said yes. They'd been going out for 2 years and not once had they fall out, fought or even disagreed on something. It was as if they were made for each other. As soon as Crystal's mum had hung up Crystal dialed in Steve's number. She knew it off by heart. The phone rung for quite awhile, and then Crystal's heart gave a tug as Steve said, quite nearvously,
"Hello?"
"Hi hun, it's me, I was wondering if I could come round later? And maybe stay over?" she asked hopefully.
"Yer, sure, I need to talk to you about something anyway," He said, before saying bye and hanging up.
About 10 minutes later Crystal was ready to go and literally ran to Steve's house. She knocked on his door and hopped from foot to foot. He answered the door and gave her a troubled smile. Crystal grinned from ear to ear and Steve looked away.
"Come in, let's go to my room, I need to tell you something," he said not looking Crystal in the eye. Crystal followed Steve up his stairs and into his room, she sat on his bed and gave him a kiss on the cheek. He once again didn't look her in the eye.
"Whats up hun?" Crystal asked circling his bed cover playfully.
"Look, I don't know how to tell you this but, well, I don't love you anymore," He muttered. Crystal gasped and looked at him puzzled.
"Why?" she asked.
"Because I love Mandy, and well, we've kissed. Alot," He said looking at Crystal and looking away again.
Crystal couldn't belive it. Mandy, one of the popular lot. She saw her happy future with Steve crashing before her very eyes.
"Please, let me stay, we can work this out," Crystal asked desprately. Steve just shook his head,
"I'm sorry," He said. Crystal coked back tears and rose,
"Fine, well, I guess this is goodbye," She said before making her leave. As she walked outside into the bitter cold she relised something. She couldn't get back into her house. She had no where to stay. She spotted a park and sighed, she'd have to spend the night there.
Crystal swolled back her tears again. She closed her eyes one last time and a single tear escaped her eyelids as her breathing stopped, her heart stopped beating. She was gone. Forever.
