Hello,

(I am just going to copy and paste from the about page *lazy*)

PHPLock is a PHP Licensing system that allows you to license copies of your software to your clients to prevent them from installing your software on multiple domains or if your client sent it to a friend or posted it on a warez site the software would not work on the site after the person who downloaded it tried to run it on their site.

PHPLock works fine on any server running the default PHP installation - so you don't need to worry about compatibility.

PHPLock is simple and easy to use with a great user friendly administration area where you can add new licenses, remove licenses, suspend licenses, edit licenses and more!

Without a PHP licensing system your PHP scripts will be open to copyright infringement, warez sites, breaches of TOS and more! So why wait? Get PHPLock NOW!

--------

Private BETA is now open (3 places!) to apply please post/pm me with this (Of cause you'll need a PHP script to work with xD):

I can run both at the same time.

Ill explain a little:

There is a file with the function to check the license, this is encrypted for security reasons (It will prevent hackers/crackers from looking at the code - There is no point in me encrypting it just so the users can't use it because they have to have a PHPLock account for it to work xD) - I suppose if you guys REALLY REALLY wanted I could leave it unencrypted.

Just a bit of into about the PHP script you plant to test it on really.

Can't you quickly make a <?php echo "testz"; ?> or something like that xD It doesent really need to be a proper script, even though I would prefer it to.

Sounds Awesome.

Some questions though;

1) Im guessing it is encoded so the script will not work without the licencing bit in place?
2) When is the final release date likely to be?
3) what will the Pro version be priced at?
4) Is it customisable?
5)Im guessing it validates the script by the domain it is currently hosted on and checks that it matches with the one on file?
6) Im guessing it has to be hosted on your server....What if your server goes down? Everyones script dies?

Yes and no, you can decide if you want it to fail or just display a error.

2) When is the final release date likely to be?

Not planned yet.

3) what will the Pro version be priced at?

Not decided yet. Plan to be around a tenner.

4) Is it customisable?

How do you mean? You won't be able to edit how the license system checks the license since it uses a complicated way of checking then confirming the response from the licensing server.

5)Im guessing it validates the script by the domain it is currently hosted on and checks that it matches with the one on file?

Yep, apart from its not a file - its a MySQL database (Each user gets its own database and MySQL user)

6) Im guessing it has to be hosted on your server....What if your server goes down? Everyones script dies?

Yes xD But we have our own webserver and a separate MySQL server so we plan to offer people the option of placing a file on there site the connects to our MySQL server to check the license - Of course this file would have to be encoded for security reasons ;)
