I have my mocks coming up in like a week and a bit, I was just wondering what people found the best way to revise?
I was planning to write stuff out and stick it around my room, so I'm always looking at it.
Any other suggestions?
(Sorry if in wrong section)

Good luck and I find a good way to revise is by drawing spider diagrams with a subject in the middle and webs coming out with all the things relevent to it and revising when relaxing is good :D

noo mocks.
from the 4th till the 12th i think mine are.
i think there's 15 exams in the mocks. thanks god thats all we've got, we don't have to do like english paper 2 & everything in the mocks.
but it does pretty much suck.
on the first day i have biology, english p1, statistics. thats just crummy.
thats like almost 5 hours of exams on the first mock day..

My Mocks start on the 27th - 8th December, and I have 17 hours of exams in total, give or take a few hours for orals etc.
I bought these books from Wuh Huh Smiths which are called "Last Minute Revision" and they have really helped. Maybe you could create artistic posters with information to decorate your walls with, or stick information onto your ceiling, so when you are lieing in bed relaxing, you can read whats there.

to be honest, you dont need to revise all day everyday, afterall these exams mean nothingto you, there are basically just to give the teachers an idea of what aspects of each subjects need to be looked at closer in class. i got pretty crappy marks in my mocks, then went on to get mainy A's B's and C's in my proper GCSE exams last year.

Actually GCSE Mocks are the Grades Colleges you have applied for look at, because this is the only thing that they can base it on. Its very important, because if you don't get the grade expected, Colleges wont think you are all that x)
I'm not syaing to anyone that they should revise all day every day after the above comment, but good 30 minute blocks of revision every 2 hours wouldn't go astray xD

I Find making notes, like the main points of things making sure i know generally what each thing is, once i do i start on revising everything i find it works and it seems like a slow process but i find keep revising daily gets it stuck in your brain.
I Too have maths science mocks in december.
Is anyone takign Business communication systems?
Ive alreay done two tests and got A* and A-

thats a lie, they go on your GCSE'S not mock's. When you apply they dont ask for your mock GCSE grades only your GCSE's.
Well my town does that.!

no, he/she speaks the truth
you apply for college in december, and you put on your target/predicted grades, as they are always roughly what you get
& your mocks are important as if you was ill for all of the gcses or something, they would take your MOCK RESULTS
i believe most schools do this, as most schools use the most common exam boards eg. OCR, edexcel, etc.

no, as i said in my town you apply in August, you get a reply in August that way you give your GCSE marks.

I'm in year 9 so i dont know how frustrating they are but when I do my yr9 SATS . Im gonna change my desktop to a revision theme like the background has a different topic on each day so then when I close windows like habbox ill have a quick look.
Im also going to stick notes on my fridge and door so i can have a peek.
You could ask a parent to remember a peice of info and every morning you have to say it to them and if its write then thats good and if its not then they can tell you (it's stupid i know)
EG.
Thurday Night:
Kid: Mum remember that the peridoic symbol of magnesium is: Mg
Mum: OK
Friday Morning:
Mum: So Son whats the symbol for magnesium?
Kid: Ms?
Mum : No Mg

I'm only in YR9 but when my SATS come Ill find a way.
But you could go on paint and make a spider gram and then setit as your background for the day then everytime you close a program down you could see like MG = Magnesium, then change it each day,
Sorry if its dumb/

Well that's how your town out of millions do it, and thats cool, cus you get the real GCSE results but don't say I'm lieing next time, just say its different to the way you do it. It made me feel as if I was being naughty :o :P

mocks arent worth getting stressed over, they dont mean alot, just think of them as end of topic tests. They just help the teachers to colaborate your target grades for your gcse exams. They also show you where you are at and enable you to poo urself because they make the mocks harder for you to poo urself and revise hard for your mocks. I didnt revise for mocks and got rubbish grades, did my gcse's and got awesome grades. therefore dont revise and ull feel amazing when u get ur actual gcse results next august:):). HOPE THAT HELPS xx

But in most places in UK Mocks count towards applying for colleges, as these are the only GCSE Standard grades colleges can look at at this time. So revise if you know you are applying for colleges soon, but if you apply for colleges by the time you have your GCSE results in August 2007, then don't ;D
Well if you work hard for the mocks then you have a good idea of where your at and how you can improve. If you don't revise much then you'll put everything down to not revising when there may be other reasons why you didn't do so well.
