Habbo are teaming up with leading PR agency Rare Communications to launch a fanstastic new competition, available exclusively on Habbo. We're looking for the best web designer out there, one who has what it takes to make it to the top. Through a process of elimination, we will find just one winner: someone with the design X-Factor!

So, how do you show us your potential? Well, in association with Rare, we're laying down a challenge! We would like you to create a brand new professional/industry standard website design for Rare Communications. Rare work with some of the biggest names in youth and entertainment, so the site has got to be fresh, funky and still bring across the professionalism that Rare Communications represent.

The company counts as clients C4, popworld, Hotxt, Huggy Bear from Starsky & Hutch, CD WOW!, Entara, and TV Loonland amongst many others. So with such big names associated with the company, the website has got to be good. In fact, it's got to be more than good..but we know that there are some talented Habbos out there with a flair for design and the skills needed to create something that is...well, quite rare!

As this is a professional website, there are certain elements that Rare Communications need to see and have on the site which they have have outlined for you. We've listed all of these in the Design Brief (http://www.habbo.co.uk/entertainment/rare/design_brief.html) pages. However, once these are included your are free to be creative and innovative with all the other elements of the design!

The Prize

Of course, for such a great competition, there are some great prizes on offer! Throughout the competition, we will be eliminating entries and asking Habbos to vote for the best designs. When we reach the finals, we will have 3 Habbos in the running for a fantastic prize!

First of all, the 3 shortlisted finalists will recieve the following:

1) £30 worth of CD-WOW! Vouchers
2) A ticket to a Popworld event
3) A selection of Habbo goodies!http://images.habbohotel.co.uk/c_images/album209/dionspeaker2.gif

Secondly, the 3 finalists will come to Habbo offices to present their designs and ideas to an expert panel, including staff from Habbo, Louise Drabwell of Rare Communications and Doug Richard from BBC Television's successful "Dragon's Den".

The winning finalist will recieve a fantastic prize pack which includes a high specifcation Dell multimedia P.C. complete with Adobe Creative Suite 2.3, dinner with Ukchaseral and Lost_Witness on the day of the final, some cool Habbo goodies and a Habbo throphy. It's a prize that will help any budding website designer on the path to success.

This is a fantastic opportunity to receive advice from industry experts and ensure your CV stands out from all the rest, plus a chance to get your hands on a very respectable piece of computing equipment!

So, before you continue, you MUST read the Terms and Conditions (http://www.habbo.co.uk/entertainment/rare/terms.html) of this competition. There are very important, so make sure you read them thorougly! Then, go read the Design Brief (http://www.habbo.co.uk/entertainment/rare/design_brief.html) for this opening round, which gives you all the information you need, plus some advice from your prospective client as to what they are looking for from your entries!

Enjoy. :) http://www.habbo.co.uk/entertainment/rare
