You don't have to rate it but c&c please. Ohw and I didn't animate it because I'm planning to make a room full of alts I'm going to make.

you haven't added any shade dude, you just spotted it :S.. don't see the use really as that is no way to make graphics transparent.

anyways..

I made this lava lamp but I think it looks a bit weird or is it just me.

..then why do you publish it?? You never publish work or call it finished (either of it) until you're satisfied.. then you might just take up golf or something.

Where do I have to ad shading??!! I know now I have to ad shading on the lava. And it isn't meant to be transparent, just thought it would look better.

Because I wanted to know what you people think so you can help me ok?

Ah, yes. Thanks. Glad somebody helped me. Now I know where to put shading. Do you mind if I use yours to make a room full of alts? (if I'm still going to do that)

I thought of a few ways to make it more realistic [or virtual.. meh same difference]
1. Create a light INSIDE either at the top or bottom, all lava lamps produce light.
2. USE the lights location to add shine and shadow to the lava blobs, blending the two colors together with several middle shades.
3. Shape the lamp, the base of the lamp [the plastic] nearly always has a slight stand to keep heat off of the surface the lamp is sitting on. Also shape the glass maybe taking it in or widening it at the glass.
4. Put some more shading on the plastic [after your reshape] taking note of where youve put the light in.

I hope that helps :)
