For some reason, if I know I cannot have my internet running in teh backround, I feel all awkward - like I cannot have that instant access to information..

Does anyone else have that?

Also like with MSN Messenger and Yahoo Messenger, I have both and if I'm not online with both i feel odd too! STRANGE!

I used to be like that, like when I was in my early teens and we had dial up - but because we're on perm broadband, if it disappears for a while, I'm like 'AH! nothing to do!!!'

I kinda agree, I always find it odd useing a computer when you dont have internet access, but thanks to broadban and a good router (*cough*) im nearly always connected :D

I had my internet cut off for 3 weeks recently, keeping myself entertained was interesting xD I managed of course, but it was like, i wanna chat online, catch up on here and things - was left out of the equation. I did manage a dial up connection -but that was even worse! The wait and the time spent hanging around waiting for a response from the internet server -.- 56k - ancient!

I get extremely bored, because I like being able to talk to a few different people at the same time, and not necessarily about the same thing - MSN is my lifeline to all the hot goss :P

I haven't had the internet for a few days, just got it back, and I do actually feel better for having it. Sad I know, but oh well. I have been out most of the weekend though so it hasn't been too terrible ^_^

My ISP lost my payment one time so I wouldn't have Internet for a week.

well i cant live without updating my site so im a bit angry when im not on the comp its a shared comp so me, my STEPbro and sis take it in days turn each. so like i have a day, then sis will have the next etc. Note i put the enthasis on step as i hate him. Once my dad was going to take "his" comp back (its his components, even though i built it) because he got fed up wiv my bro constantly been a git. I could have killed my bro that day because that would have meant i wouldnt have been able to update my site. I gave him 2 hard punches on the arm as it is. Lol you should have seen his face when i did that wish i had a pic......(he doesnt browse this forum, thankfully. if he did he would have been banned 2 month ago lol). Neways yeah its a shared comp so im currently trying to save up 4 a brand new nice 1 that will do exactly what i want it to. Its £500.00 but juggling with the costs of my website is a bit difficult. Oh well ittl get easier when i start selling SHOUTcast. Oh yeah i do listen to music when im on the comp but no often depends what mood im in relli and i can live without music even though I have some of the best computer speakers ive ever seen connected to it :D. ACE quality and im telling u im keeping them when i get my new comp.

i don't like not being able to access the internet.. and if i'm without it for a couple of days i feel as though i'm missing out on something?? sad. i always have the internet on in the background, so i tend to be on and off all the time, even if it's only for a couple of minutes to check my e-mail etc.
