When I was like... 10 I was so excited about Christmas, but now as I get older, there is no "Santa Clause" and Christmas brings so many famillies in to debt, and I don't really like it.

Same. My dad always says he can wait till christmas cause its hard he has to pay all the bills and get christmas gifts. He used his work bonus to buy all the gifts..Me, I have a job and i dont mind buying gifts cause i dont have any bills to worry about.

Until school ends for the xmas holidays, I can never get in the spirit.
Which unfortunately, is like 5 days before Christmas.

No matter how many people are in debt, alot of those people continue to spend money to make it a "good experience" for their family, alot of heart but when reality hits, and christmas passes - life sucks.
Imo, I'm not that excited - just good to see my family tbh.
-- although, I dont think the "spirit" has kicked in, yet.

Yea, jesus is a charciter in an old book, who was supposedly born in late januray (i belive). But Since everyone already celibarated the midwinter festival (25th dec) they just decided to change the dates in the books to match, so people would convert to it with less resistance.
Its the same story for most christan events, they just moved to steal the already established "pagan" festivals
