that's a little unrealistic, you'd probably die if you stayed on that diet until the end of the year, how tall are you bytheway? if you want to lose weight the main thing is to resist eating choloate bars and sweets and doing exercise. you shouldn't be restricting yourself to that little calories today, the reccomended amount is there to say what you should be having to maintain a healthy diet if you have half the calories it reccomends you'd just end up ill. But yeah goodluck
My brother got depression about 2 years ago (he's an adult) and it was mainly down the the fact that his diet was of such, that it wasn't good for him, he was trying to lose a little weight, and started healthy eating, and the doctor said this was the cause.
Anyway, good luck, and don't starve yourself! :)

Um, 500 calories for dinner but 200 calories for breakfast? Not a good idea. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, thus should consume more calories than in any meal of the day. Dinner should have the least amount of calories.
Depriving yourself from 1k calories a day is A LOT. Try 400? Limiting yourself from a lot of calories will make your body retain fat and you will gain more weight as a result.
I suggest having small, frequent meals a day. Stay away from white bread, potatoes, white rice, etc. Eat a lot of food high in protein, vegetables, fruits and lean meat.
Drink a lot of water. Drinking AT LEAST 8 glasses of water will speed up your metabolism.
Have a good 8 hours of sleep as it also speeds up metabolism.
Last but most importantly, EXERCISE. Do a lot of cardio like jogging, running, swimming, etc. That will definitely lead you to burning fat and weight loss.

i've tried to explain to you MANY times. If you want to lose a suitible amount of weight, you need to vut your calories slowly in small amounts. Otherwise if you go onto a straight 1100 calorie diet, your body will go into starvation mode and you will start to crave (Eg the bad foods burgers chips etc.) and then you'll end up gaining the weight you lost.

I agree with tomo. Alot of people go on diets and dont think about the consequences, I know ive done it. If you count calories it will be really hard to contol what you have, because for every single thing you make all the ingredience will have to be measured and weighed to get it correct.
Instead of counting calories why not take a realistic look at weight loss and the type of foods you are eating. Food thats heavily processed will have more energey then those who dont, try eating more natural foods and less refined food prodcuts.
Suggestions: small bowl of ceral and a piece of toast with juice water etc.
snacks of fruit and low fat crackers with meat for protein
sandwitches and salad or soup for lunch
Small bowl of salad/soup/meat and veg
And energy per gram goes [highest to lowest] like this:
Fat
Sugar
Carbs
Protien
So basically stear away from fat and sugar and focus on low fat meat and fish, wholegrain carbs and fruits&Veg. To loose weight with exercise keep you heat in you fat training zone for your age. Probarbly 130-140 beats a minute aprox[for teenagers]

A simple tip for anyone who wants to lose weight is, if you're feeling hungry between meals, instead of having a snack, have a glass of water. If you're still feeling hungry after that, you really do need something to eat. Get something.

Counting calories is a way towards anorexia. You'll end up becoming obsessed..
I've been put on a 1200 calorie diet. And in 2 months I've lost over 1 stone nearly at the 2 mark.
I am however on medication to switch the brain off from telling my stomach I'm hungry.
I have a damaged pancreas hence my weight gain. I have to be near to 9 stone by about february.

tbh, thats unrealistic. a lot of dieters forget the exercise. you need to burn the fat off.

i don't think you should try and stop consuming that many calories without speaking with your doctor...
& as people said it so depends on your height.
i mean im not even that tall anymore (5ft 7) & the weight i should be is around 9 - 9 1/2 stone..
im under that but thats besides the point. diets as a child or even a "young adult" are very dangerous without advice from a professional..
