Yeah exactly the same opinion. But im not going to degrade you for the gradients, as they MIGHT be just like image placeholders, etc.

8/10 if they are placeholders
7/10 if they arent

I was going to put some good graphics in the place of the blue and orange gradients but I could't be bothed in the end, the main idea for them was for a place for a picture to represent the news.

EDIT: yes they are placeholders, also +rep for the feed back, keep it coming :)

Thats a nice job you did, those gradiants really bring to much attention to themselves and just dont look right, i know there fillers but i would make it a lighter grey, anyways nice job on the Banner and the side menu.
