I'm thinking of getting EITHER a Wii, a PS3 or a Xbox 360.
Which would you reccomend and why? I've currently a PS2 and I've never owned an xbox or anything...
+ rep for good answers. :-)

Get 360. I one one of them and a PS2 along with the regular xbox. I can without question say the regular xbox is a way better console than the PS2 so I'm assuming the same goes for the 360 to the PS2. Way awsome graphics, good start up, wireless controllers, demo's available and really fast loading times.

And beside's, it's way cheaper than the PS3. Has a lot of games for it anyway.

I would get Wii, atleast that's what I'm getting. Either get a Wii or XBox360. I had a PS2 myself, and it was great. IMO, PS2 and PS3 are totally different though, and that's not good. Sony made some BAD choices, and their games are really bad. You can get some great games for the XBox 360 that are already out. Plus, the XBox 360 graphics are A LITTLE better than the PS3's, atleast for now.

Now for the Wii...
That's what I'm getting. Why? It's fun. I had a Gameboy and an N64 and LOVED them and the games. I skipped out on the Gamecube only because the PS2 really beat it out. But now I'm going back to Nintendo. Nintendo is really the only one's making a DRASTIC change in gaming, atleast for gameplay. There are some flaws, but overall a great system. It's very cheap too. Also games are 10$ cheaper than most Ps3 and XBox 360 games. The new controller is so great to use and it has some unique features. Online should be pretty good too. There is also a great lineup of games.

PS3 is a waste of money. Blu-Ray won't be the future.

Also, if you're going for a good online experience, 360 definitely. Blows the competition out of the water in that category.
I plan on going Wii60.

I'd get the Wii, simply because of price.

I myself is a Sony fanboy, and probably getting the PS3, so yeah..

I'd get Wii or xBox 360.

Wii is cheaper though, and I think the games are too.

I absolutely agree with you there, it's gunna PROBABLY be like a phase and then we'll go back to the regular thing :)

It's not even going to be a phase... it's just never going to happen. Blu-Ray is depending on PS3 and the PS3 is depending on Blu-Ray. Blu-Ray is NOT affordable. PS3 is NOT affordable. The majority of the population doesn't even have HDTVs. I know we don't... it's a bit of a bummer too.

Sony thinks they can control people by putting all this loaded crap into a new generation of a popular console. Just because everyone bought PS2's (including me) CERTAINLY doesn't mean they will buy PS3's. I know I'm not.

That's my rant. :)

I have an HDTV lol. It's awsome, where are you from?

And isn't the Blu-Ray player like £300/$600??

But a lot of people don't.
And yes, Blu-Ray is from about $500 - $1000. I mean "we" as in my family doesn't.

Id say the Wii look like great fun on the adverts, quite cheap and you will be able to get all the old classic games on them and everyone loves them :P and some great new games coming out on it too :D

Like what? I really want to know what's coming out within the next year. Classic games are great too, I'll get myself some old SNES classics.

Everyone will have to own a HDTV soon, when it takes over.

It would depend on what games you like, I don't really like much in either the XBOX360 or the Wii, so I'm just gonna stick with the good old PS2, providing future releases come out for it.
