That's right, after thinking about my Wii all the way through my Chemistry exam. (yes, im that sad) I made my way to Gamestation with my reciept and my money.

But low and behold, I couldn't get a Wii! Although I preordered mine on the 1st November, it hadn't arrived.

Now I have to wait 'till sometime next week until the new batch come in. You don't know how unhappy I am now. I was only number #48 in the list, is it that hard to ship in 50+ consoles?

I heard on the radio that everyone that wants one for christmas might not be able to get one for then. The amount of preorded consoles is huge and people havent been able to recieved them on the day they have expected to. They cannot make enough consoles in time for christmas, so youll be lucky if youll get one, if you havent preordered that is

I was told that some Gamestations only got 25 in. I mean, come on. When you have 50+ preorders you don't want to upset your customers who've paid a £20 deposit just to get it later than everybody else and not on launch day.

the people on the games corurse at my college got lesson 1 off to go get there preorded wii's they then came back set up a fleet of projecters and large scale multiplayer sessions

1) , i'm a General IT Student so i wasn't allowed to get in and play
2) , i don't have enough money to get one.. i had to spend alot of money this christmas on dam presents
3), my friend who well somehow has hundreds of pounds decided to wave his wii in front of me. so i smacked him round the head :)

I've searched all over today with no luck. I was going to pop in ASDA last night because they said they were getting 30, but ended up with only 5, so the lady told me not to bother. I'm going to ring around tomorrow before I go to work to see when shops are expecting deliveries.

Do Virgin do pre-orders? Because anywhere that does pre-orders I'm not bothering with. They're taken up January according to most of the shops I enquired at.

I'm kind of disappointed, but then again it was a bad idea to decide I wanted one now the day before launch (I was going to wait for SSBB and/or Mario Galaxy).

Thats what happend with the 360. Only rushed production and cost themselves alot of money in repairs.

and 50+ consoles is a lot. the avg. amount of consoles america got per store was about 22.

That's what I want to know. I was thinking supermarkets were my only hope, but only 3 of the 21 Tescos in my local area got any, and even then they just got 50 each. ASDA got 5 and isn't expecting any more until January. Sainsbury's didn't get any.

I didn't preorder it, I just woke up the day it was released, went out and bought it from BIG W. No-one was there, plenty of stock, plenty of games, everything's fine. Never preorder anything, trust me. My friend waited four hours on midnight, I got it within five minutes on releaseday.

Gamestation actually phoned my mum on launch day saying that I could come and get it. I don't live with my mum, so I didn't know, but she rang me today to tell me she had my Wii and would bring it up to me tomorrow if she could. :) I only have Wii sports at the moment though, I'll hopefully buy a few more games tomorrow. Most probably Zelda, seeing as Marvel: Ultimate Alliance has been delayed 'til the 15th. :(
