Banned Accounts

Should have their name changed for it to become free for exisiting users to change their name to that account or for vip's to have their name changed to that name.

It's frustrating because theirs only a set number of names one can have on a forum.

When they're permanently banned, and havn't appealed in 1-2 weeks, maybe change their name to HabboxUser00001 or something because it's damn right annoying.

Well the user can just use the name him/herself again so the ban can be completely avoided this way. If you get what I mean.

Deleting users would ***** up the database. We'd also lose thousands of posts messing up the order of threads and threads themselves and whatnot. As for changing names, if we change the names of banned users, they can get that name back which avoids one of the punishments of a ban.

ye but if the accounts get banned and sum1 else makes it won't people think its the sae person tht got banned and you would get loads of stick? I hope I read it right.. lol :p

i believe there have been these problems before.

if you look through the forums there are members with: N/A posts and join dates.

Thats why it isnt done.

If a permed user was banned under the wrong circumstances like a MOD making a mistake and the member needed to be unbanned, they couldn't because they're account was banned.
If that makes any sense.:P

Only two users I know of have been deleted, and it does mess stuff up cause you can't search for it.

Yes I agree actually, I think it would be a good idea if the threads were deleted and the current HxHD Manager posted them - it looks more professional.

Maybe all accounts banned could be banned for a year or so, then get unbanned, but be a cautioned member forever, and one slip up, they get permed? I think that'd be too much work though. Not even to do with this thread really. :p

with banned memebrs getting deleted, just run Cron jobs to rebuild bit's ect.?
