Well, I'm looking for a new PS2 game, but i can't seem to find one with a similar comparison to the Grand Theft Auto series. I enjoyed San Andreas, but I want a change. Can anybody advise me any games that are similar to GTA games which are worth getting? (Going in gyms, shops, stealing cars, missions, buying things from shops etc) Many thanks, reputation will be added.
EDIT: SCROLL TO BOTTOM FOR LATEST NEEDS AND INFORMATION I NEED. (SCARFACE/THE WARRIORS I HAVE CHOSEN AND I NEED GOOD POINTS AND BAD POINTS, IF ANY, FOR THEM)

Well Wayne,
The best thing to do is to read up on some non-biased reviews on some games.
The best source I know of is certainly IGN.com
I'd reccomend Saints Row - but of course, it's only on XBOX which is a bummer.

on the godfather you can, but thats to either blow them up, on a mission or taking over them. on the getaway you go in buildings on missions.

I find the Godfather films boring. Do I have to know the film plots to understand the game plot or is it like, nothing to do with the film?

it does have part the game plots in it, the person you play has nothing to do with the movies though. i also forgot to add you get your speed ect up by getting a certain amount of a blue bar done on missions etc.

Thanks Craig, it seems quite cool, I might get it. Have you got any of the other games? (The Warriors/Scarface?)

Scarface has the music from GTA III, is the newest out of them three games and has the best graphics.

Godfather is kind'a the same. Driver, getaway and True Crime are all based around that, sort of. ^^

Thanks for the suggestions folks. (+rep to those I haven't repped yet) I'm thinking of getting Scarface, The Warriors or True Crime: New York City. Is Scarface based on the storyline of the film, because I haven't seen it.

Thanks again to the guys who posted, reputation added. I don't have an Xbox360 so I won't purchase Saint's Row, thanks anyway. I have looked at images of True Crime: New York City and it seems quite good, and so does Scarface and The Warriors. I'm liking Scarface so far at the moment.
If anybody has any other opinions about the games True Crime, Scarface or The Warriors, please post below. Very much appreciated.
What I can tell you is that The Warriors is the best out of the lot. But that isn't saying much.

Maybe if Saints Row is out? Supposibly it is 100x better than GTA because you can go into malls, steal chainsaws from stores, go outside, take a car into the mall..
I think its only for Xbox 360 though.

Yeah, it's only for Xbox360, thanks anyway. I didn't know Just Cause was like GTA going around streets etc. I am going to get Scarface and The Warriors since I read a few reviews from people on IGN and they got really high scores and seem to have great features.
