Nice "ALTS" for your first try I can see your quite good at pixel art even though you just started I sugest looking for some good tutourials on
pixel art there are some good links in the graphics help forum :P :)

on the real kit
youd be able to tell where the shirt end
the black line down the side just carries straight down
it looks like its the same line
and its not
coz its to diff ones
on the shorts
and on the top
