You cant post your personal details anywhere, but you can post a link to myspace? They contain most peoples personal details anyway :S
And as a Habbo Fansite, shouldnt you abide by the fansite rules?

A29. It is not allowed to encourage others to break the forum rules or to encourage others to do something that is considered illegal by HabboHotel in anyway - Don't advertise or recommend things that are not allowed.

Also you are contradicting your own rules

If you are going to allow people to post their myspace links, then let them post their MSN - or follow the fansite rules and dont allow either of them.

Habbox isn't an official site.

I will explain this again.

The basic principle is:

You can post links to pictures of yourself, emails etc as long as they are NOT on the forum and are external links.

Example: You can post a URL to a picture of yourself but must not put the IMG tags around it so it doesn't show on the forum itself. We don't control the Internet so if you post them on another website, it has nothing to do with us :).

That is why you are not allowed to post your email on the forum. If you want to give your email out, put it on a free-webs page and link to it, that way its not displayed on the forum itself and opens in a new browser window :).

Hopefully that makes sense.

That is what our current policy is :).

i dont see the point in linking it to another site, you might as well be able to post it on the forum...

I don't see how having someones picture means you can instantly get there adress but I see where your coming from. I didn't know about the Link rule. Thats cool.

YOU MUSNT POST A PIC COZ ULL GET RAPED.

They aren't saying that. As it clearly says in the rules, if you post your picture, you may get harassed or pestered. You never really know who browses these Forums, and so for your own safety you are not allowed to post your pictures on the Forum and that way Habbox can't be held responsible if something bad did happen.

i dont see why it should matter posting pics and personal details.. look at myspace and bebo... they arent worried about ppl gettin raped
anyway posting links to personal details and pictures is just as bad as having it on the forum, so i dont see a point in the rule..

Because their business revolves around it. I don't really agree with the rule in general allowing it because it will get to a point where people will give out others' details but whatever. Anyway we are legally responsible if the image is posted directly here and is allowed by our rules.
