Web Photo Stock - *Project Idea*

I only know of a few Free image exchange sites for example http://www.sxc.hu/
Which acording to there homepage has over 1 Million registered users or something like it and i personally think the site is slowing down and just getting too gluttered

so i was thinking of making my own with a team of people

of course i relise the following points

- Cost of a server capable of withstanding user hits and bandwidth levels
- Copyright of images meaning that only the image takers/makers can post it (like other sites)
- Finding the skilled staff who are willing to part of the long term project



I'm quite serrious about this idea and i'm asking for the following things in response to this post

- Possitive Ideas.
- Anyone intrested in joining the team in this idea ( i request that they be a more mature member of the forum)

i also ask that i can have the negitive points of this posted as well but in a explained format not

Hey Lycan.

I think this is a great idea, I myself was contemplating doing something along these lines. Anyway I think it would take a lot of effort to get a great site, like the site built at sxc.hu

I'd love to get involved with something like this, whether it be the PHP and XHTML/CSS side or the camera side. I'd like to run a few things over but I doubt you'll be able to find a good enough team, maybe a few individuals yes, to be dedicated long time to this.

Sounds like a great project! Although, I'm no good with all this web design etc but i'd be happy to post some of my photog when the site is done!

Currently the whole thing is just an idea , but there is already a small dedicated team comming together to get it underway, next year would be the opening, january hopefully

I said I would be interested to see the final product.. didn't mention anything to do with becoming part of the team.

However, dependant on what needs doing, I might be interested in helping.

I prefer photography than webdesign, so I would be glad to help out around that side of things. But I'm guessing that wouldn't be needed until later in the project?

[OFF TOPIC] Its a fun game to play ;D RIP: I crashed coming into Paris, turning for landing didn't realise I was only at 2000ft and it appears the airport was much higher above sea level. What fight do you personal start your landing approach at and how many ft are you meant to go during landing. I always mess landings up. :P

um, i think it is 2,000 feet and drop down on approach . but i have strange flights including going to new york via scotland, greenland then via the far edge of canda then crashing on approach becos of the ice. dam over 24 hour jounrey!
