well im confused, do you have like your certificate & report that says "Grade 9" on it? :s so confused still..

so grades...

Associated Board practical exams provide a progressive system of assessments beginning with the Prep Test and moving up through 8 grades to diplomas. They are designed to motivate pupils and students at all levels by providing clear attainable goals. The 'grades' are recognised as international benchmarks and are valued by teachers and institutions all over the world.

& diploma...

The Diploma Syllabus offers a range of assessments for musicians beyond Grade 8. There are three subject-lines:

Music Performance
Music Direction
Instrumental/ Vocal Teaching
For each subject-line there are three levels of award:

DipABRSM (Diploma of The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music)
LRSM (Licentiate of the Royal Schools of Music
FRSM (Fellowship of the Royal Schools of Music)
ah.. well, whatever floats your boat.

If you don't believe this, feel obliged to ask Calzeh on this forum who attends the leeds college of music :)
