why do you use them? just-one banned my IP last night so i have to use a proxy. i thought hxf dont like giving out IP bans? ;| and i done nothing wrong.

I think its there to make it harder for people to access the forum, and people who cant change their ip will bebstuck off the forum.

The thing that worries me is on other forums where I have Mod rights, I have seen people with the same IP as me, so if someone with the same IP as me gets banned then I will be banned. Then again I think if I reset my router my IP changes...

it takes 2 mins to change an IP in firefox, you don't even need to restart to do it. so ip banning is pointless.

It happened to me, someone with the same IP as me got ip banned on here, so I wasn't able to access habbox.

We only ban an ip when nobody else is using the same ip. If there was a problem it should be fixed now, otherwise you can send a pm to ---MAD--- and he can check if any banned ips are also used by other members.

The three that were banned have been looked at, two were removed and only the unique one remained banned according to what I've been told.
