No they dont. i have mine done and i find no pain with it. for the first few days its hard to eat/drink depending on what side you have it on. eg. right,left or middle, apart from that there is no pain.

I have snake bites, and i can tell you, it doesn't hurt. Obivously, when they do it, you'll feel some pain, but that lasts about 5 minutes, maybe less then that?

And, after that, it'll be sore for a while, and if you knock it, it'll hurt. But, before you know it, you'll be doing whatever you want with it and it won't hurt. :]

Anywho, apparently ones in the middle hurt a little bit more which is understandable, they don't look too painful, and they numb it.

They shouldn't numb it.. it's not that bad and it takes a lot longer to heal/sort itself out if you get it numbed.
